But this year, it is expecting up to 155% more people to need its assistance. What Does The Salvation Army Do During the Holiday Season?

Normally, you would see red kettles outside all the major shops in your area. These collect money that is then used for funding much of the Rescue Christmas programs. The Salvation Army provides community members with grocery and bill assistance. It also serves meals to families and supports resources for homeless shelters. This year when everyone is trying to remain as contact-free as possible, the red kettle funds are expected to drop by almost half.
